George Wright, a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, is a native of Cambridge, Maryland on the Eastern Shore. He was commissioned by the Babe Ruth museum to do an original rendering of the "Sultan of Swat" which presently hangs in the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. His most recent oil painting is a commemorative print (limited edition) honoring Baltimore Great Eddie Murray hitting his 500th career home run.
